Isle of Man TT motorbike fans to slow down by police

The Isle of Man Constabulary are warning bikers visiting the Isle of Man for the TT races not to treat the road "like a race track".

About 35,000 visitors are expected on the island to watch the races, which run from Saturday until Friday 7 June.

Inspector Derek Flint said: "We deal with around 100 collisions every year during the TT. People need to think of who they are leaving behind at home."

The police have enforced speed limits on roads that are usually derestricted, in an attempt to slow people down.
