Dubai's main stock exchanges merge

Dubai's two stock exchanges - the Dubai Financial Market and the Nasdaq Dubai - have joined forces to raise the region's profile and market interest.

Nasdaq Dubai's chief executive Jeff Singer told the BBC's Ben Thompson that a unified exchange "would be good for the country".
