Airport strike threat lifted after new pay deal

The threat of strike action at six of Britain's busiest airports has been lifted after union members and management reached a deal after nine hours of talks.

Industrial action had been threatened at Heathrow, Stansted, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton after engineers and other ground staff rejected a pay deal.
