Gulf and Middle East states look at sales tax

Countries in the Middle East and the Gulf are looking at a sales tax or VAT to balance their budgets.

The region's low-tax status is quite often a draw for business, but governments may need to raise revenue to provide services, as Dean Rolfe, tax partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Middle East, told the BBC's Nima Abu Wardeh.
