Airlines protest against rise in tax

British Airways has joined other airlines in attacking increases in airport taxes, which will be payable from next week.

In some cases Air Passenger Duty - the tax paid by passengers when they fly - will rise by more than 50%.

The hike has been described as 'unaffordable' and a 'disgrace'.
