Mervyn King calls economic outlook for UK 'uncertain'

The Governor of the Bank of England says the outlook for the UK's economy is highly uncertain - and inflation will be higher than expected until at least the end of next year.

In the latest inflation report Mervyn King said that the government's "substantial" austerity measures and deep cuts should not send the UK into a double-dip recession.
