Public sector borrowing rises again in October

New statistics show that public sector borrowing in Britain rose last month. The figure of £10.3bn was slightly up on the same month last year and it came despite signs that the recovery was boosting revenues from taxes.

In September the government borrowed £16.1bn which was the highest borrowing figure for that month on record.

Sam Hill from the Royal Bank of Canada told the BBC these figures show that the government is ''just about on track''.
