JCB wins multi-million pound army contract

The British construction equipment company JCB has been awarded a multi-million pound contract to supply the British army.

The firm, which is based in Staffordshire, will supply 236 machines by the end of January 2011. It is the biggest order made by the army in 25 years.

JCB's chief executive officer, Alan Blake, says the company is very proud to have won such an important contract.
