Athens undergoes austerity check-up ahead of payment
A mission from the European Union and International Monetary Fund has found that Greece's austerity efforts have been deep enough to allow it to qualify for a third tranche of aid.
The announcement was delayed from Monday amidst reports the auditors want labour law changes to help firms cut pay.
Vagelis Agapitos, an independent economist told the BBC that the Irish bail-out is ''a good thing for the euro'' and will ''alleviate pressure'' on peripheral countries like Greece.
