Cold snap cost UK economy £4.8 billion

Retailers are still counting the cost of last week's cold snap.

Global insurers RSA say it has already cost the economy about £4.8bn. Another cold spell could cost between £1.2 - £1.4bn a day, especially in the last few days before Christmas.

But it is not just retailers but bars, clubs and restaurants are finding it difficult too.
