Could relations be thawing between two long-time rivals in the Middle East - Egypt and Iran?

There are new indications that the two could be edging closer to restoring diplomatic ties after a recent decision to resume direct flights between the two countries. But is the move about politics or economics and what will it mean for other countries in the region?
