Hotels in Russia have plenty of room for change

Having won the right to host the 2018 football world cup, Russia now needs to get serious about upgrading its infrastructure: not just stadia, but also airports, roads - and hotels.

The country has a chronic shortage of hotel rooms. The financial crisis interrupted a big investment drive by Russian and foreign hotel companies to bring modern standards to the regions.

Kristina Block reports from Nizhny Novogorod on an industry with plenty of room for improvement.
