Mervyn King: Inflation 'to come back to target'

The governor of the Bank of England, Mervyn King, has answered questions from the Treasury Select Committee on inflation and rising prices.

The current CPI measure of inflation is 4% - double the Bank's target of 2%.

The latest minutes of the Monetary Policy Committee revealed a four-way split in its nine members on what action to take.

Mr King was asked to explain the views of the MPC.
