Cut on fuel duty welcomed by road hauliers

The announced cut on fuel duty was welcomed by road hauliers, and the AA said it would give much-needed support for drivers at the petrol pumps.

But the oil and gas industry, which will have to pick up the bill, reacted with fury as one producer predicted a 'chilling impact' on future investment.
