Portugal bail-out: EU aims for mid-May completion

The European Union's monetary affairs commissioner, Olli Rehn, says work will begin immediately on preparing a bail-out package for heavily indebted Portugal.

Mr Rehn said the aim was to finalise the package expected to be worth more than 80bn euros ($100bn) by the middle of next month, after agreement with Portugal on economic reforms.
