Banks now obliged to review past PPI sales and may have to offer compensation

Up to 3 million people could receive compensation after British banks lost a key case over the mis-selling of so-called payment protection insurance to borrowers.

The High Court ruled that the banks will now be obliged to review previous sales and may have to contact customers to offer them compensation.
