Britain's Imperial Tobacco sees profits jump
Despite smoking being banned in public spaces around the world - most recently in China - tobacco companies are still turning a healthy profit as they hunt out new markets and cut costs.
Imperial is the world's fourth biggest cigarette maker and produces Lambert & Butler cigarettes, Rizla roll-up papers and Drum fine-cut tobacco.
It has seen its share price rise by a fifth since the beginning of the year and says more smokers are choosing Imperial products as they look for cheaper brands.
