Filipino newspaper launched in UAE

One of the largest groups of foreign workers in the United Arab Emirates comes from the Philippines.

An estimated 600,000 Filipinos live in the country, making up about 12% of the population and a new paper targeted at this sizeable community has been launched.

The newspaper's owner hopes to pay for the paper through advertising revenue, but says it's not just a business venture - with many Filipinos working in low-paid industries, the paper's designed to help educate them about life and their rights in the region and to try and stop unscrupulous employers taking advantage.

But after a similar project failed five years ago, can this one be a success? Simon Atkinson finds out.
