Greek backbenchers threaten to quit rather than vote for cutbacks

The Greek government is finding it harder than planned to introduce an augmented austerity plan.

The cabinet had been due to sign off on the cutbacks and pass them on to parliament.

But that has had to be delayed because it is taking much longer to secure the support of the rest of the party.
