UK economy grows but outlook remains uncertain

The UK economy grew by 0.5% in the third quarter of 2011, official figures show, faster than the 0.1% rate seen in the previous quarter.

The increase was mainly the result of stronger growth in several sectors, including manufacturing.

But as Stephanie Flanders explains, the outlook is still uncertain.
