India struggles with price rises as its economy slows

Later on Wednesday, India publishes its latest inflation figures - at a time when the government has been battling to find the right balance between triggering growth and keeping prices in check.

While the economy is showing signs of a slowdown, India's wholesale price index, the country's main inflation indicator, has remained above 9% for most of this year.
