Brendan Barber: No pension deal 'at this stage'

TUC general secretary Brendan Barber says negotiations over public sector pensions have been more productive since industrial action last month.

A day of negotiations for unions representing public sector staff has seen initial agreement on health workers' pensions, but the civil service union rejected the latest offer saying "nothing has changed".

Unison has agreed to take the offer back to its members early in the new year, and Mr Barber said it was vital people had a proper chance to consider the proposals.
