Danny Alexander on 'fair' pensions deal

The Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, has told the House of Commons that outline agreements have been reached with most public service unions over pension reform.

He said the revised deals would come at no extra cost to the taxpayer, and would now be considered more fully by the unions.

Mr Alexander told the Commons the offers on the table represented a good deal for all concerned.
