Vulnerable 'exploited' by rent-to-buy, says charity

The children's charity, Barnardo's, has expressed concern about companies that rent furniture and kitchen appliances to families who cannot afford to buy them.

It says people often end up paying more than double the price charged by high street retailers and it wants the Office of Fair Trading to take action.

Barnardo's chief executive, Anna-Marie Carrie, says many families are being lured into an un-affordable debt trap.
