Iran halts oil sales to UK and French companies

Iran has halted oil sales to British and French companies, according to the nation's oil ministry.

European Union member states agreed earlier to stop importing Iranian crude from 1 July.

Iran says it would sell its oil to new customers.

However, Julian Lee, Senior Energy Analyst at the Centre for Global Energy Studies says the decision is likely to have little impact on either the UK or France.
