India's Kingfisher Airlines quizzed over flight chaos

Bosses at India's Kingfisher Airlines are due to meet aviation officials to explain why more than a hundred flights were cancelled in the past few days, causing chaos for passengers.

The airline said it was forced to cut back services after tax authorities froze its bank accounts. Last week it reported a deepening loss of 4.44bn rupees ($90m; £57m) in the last quarter of 2011, compared with 2.54bn rupees a year earlier.

The BBC's Rajini Vaidyanathan in Mumbai reports on how the company's financial difficulties have fuelled fears over its future.
