Oldbury nuclear power closes after 45 years

Oldbury nuclear power station near Bristol is to stop generating electricity after 45 years of use.

Both of the station's reactors were scheduled to be turned off in 2008, but had their operational life extended.

Once the plant has been closed, Horizon Nuclear Plants will be setting up a new nuclear plant next door.

Stephanie McGovern spoke to the site director Phil Sprague who described how a nuclear site gets decomissioned.

She also spoke to Leon Flexman from Horizon, and asked why they were setting up a new site.
