Top London clubs open in Dubai

Over the past few months the clubbing scene in Dubai has seen some high profile launches of London brands - including Cirque du Soir, Movida and Mahiki.

However, despite the occasional story of the mega-rich blowing thousands of dollars in a night on champagne - nightclub spending still makes up just a tiny contribution to GDP.

So can they be successful in a city with just a few VIPs and a very different attitude to alcohol?
