Sony to shed 10,000 jobs as company re-vamps

The electronics group Sony has announced its biggest shake-up for a decade.

The group has confirmed it will axe 10,000 jobs.

The new Chief Executive Kazuo Hirai told a press conference he had "no other choice".

On Tuesday, the group warned it would make a record loss of $6.4bn for the year.
