Unemployment falls by 35,000 to 2.65m

For the first time in nearly a year there has been a fall in the number of people out of work. Unemployment dropped by 35,000 to 2.65 million. The government says it is a promising sign that things are slowly improving.

The good news about employment came as the Bank of England changed its prediction about inflation falling this year. They warned it may now remain about 3% into the summer.
