George Osborne explains IMF decision

The Chancellor George Osborne has told MPs that he was happy to increase Britain's contribution to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to nearly £10bn.

He said Britain had a huge interest in keeping the IMF strong.

Mr Osborne also said there was no other form of insurance against the world's risks that had such potential benefits.
