Are you on a con man's sucker list?

More than 75 thousand people will soon be getting a letter or email warning that they could be targeted by fraudsters.

Their names have been found by the Financial Services Authority on so-called "sucker lists" .

The FSA says it found the names of possible targets while looking into fraudulent investment companies.

Paul Lewis of BBC Radio 4's Money Box said people were often initially ''hooked in'' by what appeared to be a tempting offer.

Businessman Paul Forrester, who was defrauded to the tune of £22,000, said he would not have considered himself as gullible.
