US housing figures expected to show some improvement

US home sales figures will be released today, and they are expected show some improvement on last month.

The US housing market collapsed six years ago and recent data still shows mixed signs of recovery.

US builders began construction on more homes last month, but millions of Americans still owe more on their mortgage than their home is worth.

Michelle Fleury reports from Bridgeport, Connecticut, a town that is still struggling.
