IMF: Growth 'a major issue' for eurozone recovery

The International Monetary Fund has called on eurozone members to prioritise on working together to create economic growth in the region.

The Chief Economist at the IMF, Olivier Blanchard, said the lack of economic growth in Europe was "a very major issue" to the global recovery which needed to be addressed by eurozone leaders.

The IMF announced today it had downgraded its forecast for global growth for 2013 to 3.9% from the 4.1% prediction it made in April.
