Unemployment falls by 65,000
New figures show that unemployment fell by 65,000 between March and May to nearly 2.6 million.
However, the Office for National Statistics said the number claiming jobseeker's allowance increased last month by more than 6,000 to 1.6 million.
This included an increase of 8,000 among women.
The total number of young people out of work was down by 10,000 compared to the previous quarter.
However, the Employment Minister Chris Grayling said the number of people out of work "is still much too high".
