Liam Byrne: Government must act on unemployment
The number of people out of work fell by 46,000 to 2.56 million in the three months to June, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Shadow work and pensions secretary Liam Byrne said the news was a "welcome relief" but said there were "worrying signs beneath the surface".
He added: "Our economy is not even in the slow lane, it's gone into reverse gear."
