EDF 'regrets' energy price rises

EDF says it "regrets" that it is rising its gas and electricity prices by 10.8% from December 7.

Managing director of energy sourcing and customer supply Martin Lawrence told BBC News that he believed that EDF was still the cheapest supplier of the major companies.

EDF, which has three million domestic customers, is the fifth major energy firm to announce price rises and it is the biggest average increase so far.
