Hong Kong mulls increasing monthly payments to elderly

Hong Kong lawmakers held a special meeting this week over a controversial proposal on the monthly allowance given to people over 65.

The government wants to give eligible people about $280 a month. But pan-democratic lawmakers want the eligibility test to be scrapped, in order to benefit more senior citizens. Juliana Liu reports from Hong Kong.
