Could US jobs report affect presidential race?

A slight rise in American unemployment is expected to be confirmed in a report published on Friday.

It is believed the jobless total is 7.9%, an increase of 0.1%, which could give political ammunition to President Obama's rival Mitt Romney in the run up to next week's election.
