VisitBritain suggested on Friday that fewer tourists came to the UK in 2012 but that many people spent more than usual.

The tourism agency found that tourists during the Olympic period spent £920m in total, which was an average spend of £1,350 per visit.

Sandie Dawe, the chief executive of VisitBritain, spoke to BBC Radio 5 live Wake Up To Money.
