Indian medicine costs to be reduced

Plans to reduce the cost of medicines for ordinary Indians are to be introduced.

The aim is to cap the prices of a long list of drugs considered essential for India's health needs.

However the move is proving controversial with some companies who argue their revenues with take a hit.
