Japan Airlines raises full year profit forecast

Japan Airlines has had to endure tough times in recent months.

A territorial dispute between China and Japan has hurt travel demand between the countries, and it has also been impacted the grounding of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner fleet.

Despite those troubles, the carrier has raised its full year profit forecast.

It now expects to make a net profit of 163bn yen ($1.8bn; £1.1bn) for the year to 31 March 2013, up from its earlier projection of 140bn yen.

Rupert Wingfield-Hayes reports.
