Pension funds call for new boardroom pay guidelines

Pension fund investors are today calling for a major rethink on executive pay to align it more closely with the long-term performance of a business.

A report published by the National Association of Pension Funds, investment firm Hermes Equity Ownership Service, the BT Pension Scheme, RPMI Railpen and USS Investment Management suggests executive pay deals should be simpler and golden 'hellos' reduced.

BBC Radio 5 live Wake Up to Money asked Jennifer Walmsley, head of UK Engagement at Hermes EOS, why she is looking for a change in the culture.
