The 'reawakening' of Asia's IPO market

Stock markets have been on the rise recently, setting new records in the US and Europe.

So it may be a good time for Asia's markets to step up their share listings. Singapore is the latest in the spotlight after holding the biggest initial public offering (IPO) in Asia so far this year.

Mapletree Greater China Commercial Trust, a real estate unit of Singapore state investor Temasek Holdings, is set to make its trading debut later after raising about $1.3bn from investors.

Mark Konyn, chief executive of Cathay Conning Asset Management, says this is the reawakening of the IPO market in Asia.
