Lufthansa strike causes flight cancellations

German airline Lufthansa cancelled the majority of its flights on Monday due to a strike over pay.

Only a few of the 1,700 flights that were originally scheduled took off.

German airports affected are Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf and Hamburg.

The airline said the strike, the second in two months, was uncalled for.

Steve Evans reports.
