'We'll be happy to defend our position in court'

Eurotunnel has been banned from operating ferries at Dover.

Eurotunnel operate Le Shuttle services where cars travel on trains through the tunnel - not the same as Eurostar - has been operating ferry services since last year under the MyFerryLink brand.

The final report by the Competition Commission found that by adding ferry services to the existing Channel Tunnel business, Eurotunnel would increase its market share to over half and prices would rise.

Competition Commission deputy chairman Alasdair Smith told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast why he is banning Eurotunnel from running ferry services between Dover and Calais - and they would "be happy to defend our position in court".
