What next for Brazil's middle class?

Brazil's 'new middle class' gained fame worldwide as a symbol of upward mobility - with as many as 40 million people said to have been lifted out of poverty during the past decade.

Nevertheless, middle class living standards in Brazil are lower than in many developed countries and the recent wave of demonstrations in Brazil reflects a deep dissatisfaction with public services in the country.

Julia Carneiro has been to find out what has improved for people in Rio de Janeiro - and what they would like to change.
