Temasek eyeing 'long-term' returns

Singapore's sovereign wealth fund Temasek Holdings spent more money last year buying stakes in companies in many different sectors, but delivered much lower returns to shareholders.

The firm, once perceived as not being transparent, has in recent years opened up to questions about its investments.

Rohit Sipahimalani, co-head of the firm's investment division told the BBC's Sharanjit Leyl that its returns should be judged over a longer period.
