Senegal farmers helped by cattle tracker technology

Cattle rustling is a common feature of life in sub-Saharan Africa.

It is a crime that has a huge economic impact, but the human cost can be even higher.

In rural Senegal, a project to track cows using mobile phone technology and radio-frequency identification tags could help tackle the problem.
