Osborne: 'Millions' to benefit from pensions advice
"Millions of people" will potentially benefit from free independent pensions advice, chancellor George Osborne has said.
The government will work with organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau and Age UK to supply savers with "genuinely impartial" advice, he added.
Critics had raised concerns a previous proposal to make providers give advice could see unsuitable investments recommended.
The chancellor added that people would have the opportunity to receive guidance face-to-face, but that it could also be provided online or by phone.
